Poles to compete in the International Competition for Mathematical and Logic Games

Thirty-two Polish mathematicians will start in the finals of the International Mathematical and Logical Games Competition at the Pierre Diderot University in Paris on 29 and 30 August – informs Andrzej Charytoniuk from the information and promotion department of the Wrocław University of Technology.

The Polish team was selected in the May qualifying rounds organized by the Faculty of Mathematics of the Wrocław University of Technology and the Wrocław branch of the Polish Mathematical Society. Over 400 mathematicians from all over Poland took part in the qualifiers.

The International French Championships in Mathematical and Logic Games, also known as World Championships, have been organized in Paris since 1987. The Polish national team has participated in them since 1992 with many successes. In 2016 it won nine medals in the competition, including three golds. In 2015, the team won twelve medals including six golds.
