Polish Academy of Sciences prepares Report on space research in Poland in 2020

The Space Research Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) and the Space and Satellite Research Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences have prepared a comprehensive report on space research in Poland in 2020. It was prepared for the Outer Space Research Committee (COSPAR). 

The report is divided into the following chapters: Satellite Geodesy, Remote Sensing, Space Physics, Astronautics and Space Technologies, Astrobiology and Space Medicine, and Space Law and Policy.

The report discusses cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA), including Poland’s participation in the BepiColombo, ASIM, Solar Orbiter, JUICE, ATHENA, ExoMars, THESEUS and ARI missions as well as PROBA3, OP-SAT technology projects. In addition, it reports on cooperation with NASA (InSight missions, IMA), CNES (TARANIS mission), with the Chinese Space Agency – CNSA (Chang’E4 and eXTP missions), with the Russian Space Agency – RKA (JONOSON mission) or the German Space Agency – DLR ( DESIS mission).
