Polish and Czech researchers created a composition that facilitates the penetration of plant tissues

30.08.2021

Scientists of the University of Silesia in Katowice and the Charles University in Prague have developed a composition that improves the penetration of biologically active substances through the surface of plant organs. The effectiveness of the already patented composition was tested on maize seedlings, and ultimately the mixture can be used in the cultivation of all plants.

The invention increases the effectiveness of such active substances as: synthetic growth regulators, natural plant hormones, fertilizers and plant protection products. This means that growers will be able to use fewer fertilizers or growth inhibitors, which then end up in the environment.

This composition is water-soluble, non-toxic and biodegradable. It can be used in the form of a solution directly on the plant’s aboveground organs.
