From June 2017, the staff of the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, together with German scientists, will carry out an international research project, which aims to describe the Polish and German language of science.
The project is financed by the Polish-German Foundation for Science and will be implemented by May 2019. The partner of the Polish university in its implementation is Friedrich-Schiller-Universität in Jena.
The main goal of the project is to examine and describe the Polish and German language of science in terms of the occurrence of various types of classed word combinations characteristic for the scientific style of both languages. As a result, an electronic database of phraseologies typical of the language of science will be created, which will be available to both private persons and institutions. The access to the base is free.
