Professor Brożek becomes the laureate of the National Center for Science Award

Professor Bartosz Brożek from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Jagiellonian University in Krakow has been awarded this year’s National Science Center Award (NCN). He received this prestigious prize for the innovative concept of normativity of law and other normative systems.

Established in 2013, the award is given to researchers up to 40 years of age. The idea of the NCN Award is to support the most outstanding scientists conducting research in the field of basic research in Polish scientific units.

The jury appreciated the innovative concept of normativity of law and other normative systems, based on philosophical argumentation and the use of findings of cognitive and evolutionary sciences. Scientific interests of Prof. Brożek include the theory and philosophy of law, as well as the philosophy of science, language and mind.
