“The Mazovian Academy means the development of Płock. It is a public HEI that obtains new opportunities, creates new perspectives for the academy’s authorities, staff and also students”, said President Andrzej Duda.

From 1 October 2022, the public higher school in Płock will become the Mazovian Academy.  “The development of HEIs in smaller urban centres is of great importance for students. This is a reason for joy and pride. This law was passed in the Sejm across political divisions and I thank the politicians for that”, stressed the President.

The Mazovian Academy will be created from the Mazovian Public Higher School in Płock and will be its legal successor. The academy has three faculties, 11 BA courses, four MA courses and two long-standing master’s degree courses.

As of the forthcoming new academic year, the Mazovian Academy in Plock will have a psychology faculty and next year a medical faculty within health care.
