In partnership with the European Biodiversity Partnership Biodiversa+, the National Centre for Science (NCN) has announced a competition “Nature-Based Solutions for biodiversity, human well-being and transformative change” (BiodivNBS). The budget in the competition for Polish research teams is EUR 1 million.

BiodivNBS is a competition for international interdisciplinary research projects in the field of biodiversity conservation science. Its aim is to promote nature-based solutions, support research into them and the integration of these solutions into policy-making at local, regional and national levels. 

The competition is open to international consortia of at least three research teams from at least three participating countries. The leader of the Polish team must have at least a PhD degree.

The deadline for joint pre-proposals is 10 November 2023.
