Polish scientist receives the Founder’s Award of the International Society of Refractive Surgery

Prof. Andrzej Grzybowski from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Warmia and Mazury (UWM) in Olsztyn received the “Founders’ Award” of the International Society of Refractive Surgery ISRS. He is the first Pole awarded by this society.

Prof. Grzybowski received the award at the conference of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the most important ophthalmology conference in the world, which was held in New Orleans.

The International Society of Refractive Surgery is a partner of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has members from over 90 countries. It organizes the most important conference of cataract and refractive surgery specialists.

Prof. Andrzej Grzybowski is the head of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Faculty of Medicine of the UWM and the only Polish ophthalmologist who was on the list of 2% of the most recognized scientists in the world prepared by the Stanford University.


Medicine and biotechnology
