23.12.2021

Scientists from the Institute of Polymers and Dyes of the Lodz University of Technology (TUL) are taking part in the international research project “Antioxidant, electroactive and biocidal self-adhering dressings”, with the aim to create an antioxidant and electroactive skin wound dressing that supports the healing process and releases antimicrobial peptides against the group major bacterial and fungal pathogens involved in nosocomial infections.

The project partners of the scientists from the Lodz University of Technology are Medical University of Lublin, Ulm University (Germany), coordinator of the German side and Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research (Germany).

Polish teams received almost PLN 2.4 million for the implementation of tasks under the OPUS + LAP project, financed by the National Science Center and the German research funding organization DFG (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft).
