Warsaw University of Life Sciences launches Translational Medicine Center

21.12.2021

The Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) in Warsaw has launched the Translational Medicine Center (CMT) which consists of well-equipped laboratories for imaging and functional tests, advanced medical analysis, cell and tissue cultures, and rooms for laboratory, farm and companion animals.

The mission of CMT is the optimal use of the scientific, research and teaching potential of medicine, veterinary medicine and biotechnology for the development of medicine and veterinary medicine.

CMT-SGGW will fulfil its mission by implementing medical projects and research results in the treatment of various diseases and conditions that occur in humans. Research assumptions and the effectiveness of the patient’s treatment will be verified at the stage of experiments on animal models, which is often lacking in translational medicine centers in the world. CMT-SGGW is one of the first units of this sort not only in Europe but also in the world.
