The University of Wrocław took 49th place in the QS Emerging Europe & Central Asia University Rankings 2022. The ranking compares the best universities in Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Compared to the previous year, the university has improved its position by 9 places.

The most important indicators in the QS ranking include: recognition among academic staff (30%) and employers (20%) and the ratio of the number of academic teachers to the number of students, international research cooperation and the number of publications in individual scientific disciplines (10% each).

The ranking also takes into account the so-called Web Impact, i.e. the effectiveness with which institutions use new technologies, as well as the degree of internationalization of academic staff at individual faculties and the number of foreign students. 27 Polish universities were assessed in the list, 6 of which were rated in the top 50.
