EDU-ARCTIC is a Polish project selected for the implementation of 205 ideas devoted to education and popularization of science in the Global Climate Change category, as part of the European Union’s Horizon 2020 program.

The aim of the project is to use Arctic research as a tool to strengthen science education programs throughout Europe. The project is to encourage students aged 13 to 20 to continue their education in the field of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

EDU-ARCTIC will use a variety of tools to provide an innovative approach to teaching STEM subjects, including online lessons with scientists from the polar bases. The project will also organize competitions for students who will be able to win trips to the Arctic research station. The creators of the project are scientists from the Institute of Geophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
