Polish scientists join a European project on photonics

29.10.2020

The Warsaw University of Technology (WUT) and the Łukasiewicz Research Network – Institute of Electronic Materials Technology are Polish scientific partners of PhotonHub Europe, a pan-European center for digital innovation in the field of photonics, which received EUR 19 million under the EU’s Horizon 2020 program. The center will support the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Photonic technologies are used to create and market new products for use by end-users in various fields such as: health, digital infrastructure, manufacturing, security, space and defense, agri-food, mobility and energy.

PhotonHub Europe, thanks to faster and smarter implementation of photonics-based technologies, will help European companies from the SME sector and mid-cap companies to become highly competitive digital enterprises.
