Polish scientists to develop smart fake news detection tools

Scientists from Kozminski University in Warsaw and the Information Processing Center – National Research Institute (OPI PIB) signed an agreement assuming joint developing smart tools for detecting fake news and verifying information sources. It will be the first such solution in Poland and unique in Europe.           

The purpose of the contract is to develop joint research and development capital and innovative potential at the highest level. It will support technological progress, innovation and research development of both units. The initiative includes the exchange of knowledge, joint scientific publications, student internships and research by doctoral students and, above all, the development and implementation of innovative research projects.

The signing of an agreement between KU and OPI PIB is an opportunity for strengthening the innovation infrastructure in Poland. Students of the “AI and Management” program will have the opportunity to implement projects in the area of ​​Business Intelligence, machine learning and data engineering in a leading research institution in Poland – said Prof. Aleksandra Przegalińska-Skierkowska, pro-rector of Kozminski University.
