Polish scientists win the JPND network competitions

The winners of another competition organized by the JPND (Joint Programming Initiative in Neurodegenerative Diseases) network include two research teams from Poland.

The JPco-fuND2 Call 2021 competition included topics related to the detection of early symptoms of neurodegenerative diseases. 170 international teams submitted applications. Funding was received by 14 projects for a total amount of EUR 15.5 million.

The winning projects that will be implemented with the participation of scientists from Poland are:

premodiALS: A premotor disease signature for ALS, which will be implemented by the Institute of Pharmacology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, designed with partners from Germany, France, Israel, Sweden and Switzerland.

PreSSAD: Presymptomatic synaptic disorders in Alzheimer’s Disease, implemented by the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Medicine of the Polish Academy of Sciences designed with partners from France, the Netherlands, Sweden and Hungary.
