Young scientists of the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław to receive millions PLN for projects

Nearly PLN 3 million will be received by the scientists from the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław. Funding under the Leader call allocated by the National Center for Research and Development was won by Dr Katarzyna Kornicka-Garbowska, who will create an intelligent system for the production of regenerating serum for veterinary medicine and biotechnology, and Dr Ewa Szczepańska for the development of biotechnological production of vanillin using by-products of the agri-food industry.

Dr Szczepańska will receive PLN 1,493,020 for the development of biotechnological production of vanillin which is competitive in terms of price. Dr Kornicka-Garbowska, thanks to a grant of PLN 1,499,439, will construct a device that will prepare platelet-rich plasma (PRP) for animals.

Leader is a program aimed at young scientists. Its aim is to expand their competences in independent planning of research works and managing their own research team during the implementation of research projects.
