The latest international UI GreenMetric ranking, which assesses universities’ commitment to environmental and sustainability issues, included 15 universities from Poland.
The UI GreenMetric ranking has been organised since 2010 by the University of Indonesia. In 2023, 1183 universities from 84 countries were ranked, including 15 from Poland.
The highest ranked Polish universities are: Gdansk University of Technology (197th place), the University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszow (325) and Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (339).
UI GreenMetric’s ranking methodology involves assessing the university’s commitment to climate and environmental action, including infrastructure, transport, water and electricity consumption, waste management, and educational offerings and research on sustainable development.
