According to the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), Polish universities belonging to alliances of European universities will receive a total of almost PLN 16 million to support cooperation with Ukrainian universities and at the supranational level.

This is all thanks to the ‘Solidarity with Ukraine’ programme, which gave Ukrainian refugees the opportunity to continue their studies, work on their doctoral thesis or pursue any other form of education at Polish universities and institutes.

The Ministry of Education and Science has extended the mandated tasks by launching the possibility of financial support for universities supervised by the Minister, which are part of alliances of European Universities and will start cooperation with a partner university or universities from Ukraine.

The funds that the universities will receive for the implementation of the projects amount to a total of almost PLN 16 million. Activities will be implemented from January to December 2023.

Alliances of European Universities, or international university partnerships, include as many as 18 Polish universities supervised by the Minister of Education and Science.
