The journal The Annals of Family Medicine has published ‘Home Monitoring of Asthma Exacerbations in Children and Adults With Use of an AI-Aided Stethoscope’, co-authored by scientists from the Department of Acoustics of the Faculty of Physics at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań: Anna Pastusiak, Prof. Jędrzej Kociński and Dr Honorata Hafke-Dys.

The innovative research presented in this paper focuses on the detection of asthma in children under the age of five, for whom adequate procedures for the diagnosis and monitoring of this pathology in this specific age group have not yet been established.

The fruit of this research is a world-breaking technology, providing not only new perspectives and solutions to the problem of asthma in the youngest patients, but also significantly improving the process of diagnosis and monitoring of this disease in their older peers.
