Poznań scientists to launch the RENergetic project under the Horizon 2020 program

26.11.2020

Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center affiliated with the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Poznań University of Technology and Veolia Energia Poznań S.A. will take part in the international project RENergetic (Community-empowered Sustainable Multi-Vector Energy Islands) implemented under the Horizon 2020 program.

The project will develop and integrate solutions that increase energy efficiency, the level of renewable energy production and the energy independence of diverse energy islands in the urban environment using the involvement of local communities.

These goals will be achieved by integrating and optimizing the management of electricity, heat and waste. For this purpose, IT technologies such as Internet of Things solutions will be used, as well as data analysis, prediction and control of energy consumption and production processes by artificial intelligence techniques.
