Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań, Poznan University of Technology and doctors specialising in neurology and psychiatry are conducting a scientific project aimed at developing a new, non-invasive method of diagnosing Alzheimer’s disease at an early stage.

For the pilot study in the project, the researchers plan to gather a group of around 50 people at risk of developing the disease, as well as a similar control group. Participation is completely free of charge and the results of the study will be fully anonymised.

The researchers invite all people who are concerned that something is wrong with their memory and people without memory impairment over the age of 50, who have (had) among their close relatives people with early dementia (that is, one that has developed before the age of 65) to participate in the study. The programme is not intended for people with clear symptoms of dementia, already diagnosed or even less advanced Alzheimer’s disease.
