Poznan University of Medical Sciences joins a project to prevent and control hospital-acquired infections in sub-Saharan African universities

The Poznan University of Medical Sciences is implementing the project InfPrev4frica: Capacitating Sub-Saharian African HEI’s to Educate Nursing Students for Sustainable and Innovative Infection Prevention and Control Practices. The aim of the project is to strengthen and expand teaching methods for nursing students in the area of hospital infection prevention and control in sub-Saharan African HEIs.

An important part of the Erasmus+-funded project is the extension of existing teaching techniques to include tailored simulations in the field of hospital infection prevention in sub-Saharan Africa.

The project is being carried out in collaboration with universities from Portugal: Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Lisboa and Escola Superior de Enfermagem de Coimbra, Tanzania: Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences – Bugando and Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College, and Madagascar: Universite d’Antananarivo and Universite de Mahajanga.
