Poznan University of Technology will implement the second European Research Council (ERC) grant. The University of Technology was the first technical university in Poland to implement (between 2017 and 2023) the first ERC grant. The results of the original project proved so interesting that the group carrying out this project decided to explore their commercial potential.

The European Research Council decided to fund these activities under the Proof of Concept action – a pathway only available to winners of other ERC grants.

Researchers from the University of Technology, together with partners from the European Union, Switzerland and Japan, will try within 18 months to convince the energy storage market of the attractiveness of their solution – a modern electrochemical capacitor, characterised by high energy and specific power, as well as high cyclic stability.
