Beniamin Kopiec, a third-year student of the Academic Secondary School of the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice, has been included in a team of four scholarship holders of The Endeavour Scholarship. Benjamin will undergo training at the Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, in the United States.

Twenty students from all over Poland took part in the finals of the competition, competing in two rounds – under the watchful eye of a jury. Their task was, among others, to design and build a model of a lunar lander, which was then tested..

This is the first Endeavour Scholarship programme implemented in Poland. The project is aimed at students aged 15 to 18 who are interested in space. So far, students from the USA, UK, Chile, Singapore, Australia, Bahrain and France have participated in the programme.
