The President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, attended the inauguration of the new academic year 2022/2023 at the Kraków University of Economics (UEK) on 7 October 2022. 

“Inauguration ceremonies always remind us of the significant role that science plays in the modern world. In the difficult, turbulent times we live in nowadays, its importance is particularly great, and demanding tasks are associated with that role – Andrzej Duda emphasised.

The President recalled that the Kraków University of Economics inherits traditions dating back to the pre-war study of commerce, which was established almost 100 years ago.

“While we undoubtedly need to remember the past, the future must be even more important for us. Taking care of the quality of education and constant development in order to meet the needs of the modern world is currently our priority,” said the Rector of the UEK, Stanisław Mazur, Ph.
