Pursuant to a resolution of the Senate of the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH), the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was awarded an honorary doctorate by the SGH. SGH Rector Dr Piotr Wachowiak, Prof. SGH, submitted the resolution to Ukraine’s Ambassador to Poland Vasyl Zwarycz to hand it over to his president.

The Senate of SGH grants the title of Doctor honoris causa of the Warsaw School of Economics to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

Presenting the document to the Ukrainian diplomat, the President of the SGH Senate, Rector Piotr Wachowiak, who is also the supervisor of the proceedings on the awarding of the doctorate to Volodymyr Zelensky, emphasised his merits as the leader of a country that has been repelling Russia’s armed aggression for more than a year.

‘We are moved by the heroism of the Ukrainian people and grateful to President Volodymyr Zelensky that under his leadership Ukraine is fighting not only for its own future, but also for that of Europe’, said the rector.
