Prof. Kazimierz Darowicki from the Gdańsk University of Technology receives Primum Cooperatio prize

Professor Eng. Kazimierz Darowicki, head of the Department of Electrochemistry, Corrosion and Materials Engineering at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Gdańsk University of Technology, received the Primum Cooperatio prize.

The award is given to scientists of the Pomorze region for outstanding scientific achievements combined with documented activities in the implementation of their scientific achievements in the economy. It has been granted since 2014 by the Employers of Pomerania organization.

Professor Eng. Kazimierz Darowicki leads the Chair of Electrochemistry, Corrosion and Materials Engineering, a world-renowned scientific department dealing with the study of corrosion and protection against corrosion. He developed and implemented maintenance-free, automatic system for monitoring corrosion of the waterworks of the lower terrace of the city of Gdańsk, as well as methods for assessing the condition of linings and anti-corrosive coatings in flue gas desulphurisation installations at the Bełchatów Power Plant.
