Professor Krzysztof Kaliński, vice-dean for science at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Gdańsk University of Technology, became a member of the 15th organizational committee of the 15th IFToMM World Congress, the World Congress of Theory of Machines and Mechanisms to be held in Krakow in 2019.

International Congress for Mechanics and Machine Science The World Congress is a prestigious international scientific conference organized every four years in various countries. Next year, after 50 years, it will be held again in Poland.

Professor Eng Krzysztof Kaliński graduated from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Gdańsk University of Technology in 1980, he received his PhD degree in 1988, he was awarded the postdoctoral degree in 2002 and the title of professor of technical sciences in 2013. From 2015 he is a regular professor. In 2003, he set up a scientific group to research dynamic processes, later renamed the Mechatronics Team, which he continues to run to this day.
