Professor of medicine obtains an honorary doctorate of the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce

Prof. Marek Krawczyk, MD, received an honorary doctorate of the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce. Prof. Krawczyk is one of the most important figures in Polish medicine.

Prof. Krawczyk is a graduate of the Medical Academy in Warsaw and a specialist in the field of general and oncological surgery and clinical transplantation.

In 2008-2016, he was the rector of the Medical University of Warsaw, full member of the Polish Academy of Sciences and corresponding member of the Polish Academy of Learning.

As the head of the Clinic, he created a live donor liver transplant program what resulted in the first successful isolation of a liver fragment from a living donor for a child (transplantation at the Children’s Memorial Health Institute) held in 1999, at the Warsaw clinic, Poland,
