The Silesian University of Technology will take part in seven international research projects financed from Norwegian Funds and the European Economic Area. The operator of the “Applied research” program is the National Center for Research and Development.
Thanks to the obtained grants, scientists from the environmental and energy engineering department will implement the project “FrostWave – development of an innovative freeze dryer equipped with microwave heating and a refrigerating unit with a natural working factor for agricultural and marine products”, and researchers from the automation, electronics and computer science department will realize the project “Automated guided vehicles integrated with collaborative robots for industry 4.0”.
Researchers of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering will try to develop a ‘unmanned aircraft with long flight duration to collect air quality data with high spatial and temporal resolution’.
