The editors of the Rzeczpospolita daily have presented the results of this year’s ranking of law faculties. As in the previous edition, the first place among public universities was taken by Jagiellonian University in Krakow, followed by the University of Warsaw and the University of Wroclaw.

Among non-public universities, the winner was the College of Law at Kozminski University in Warsaw. The second position was taken by Łazarski University in Warsaw, and the third place was awarded to SWPS University of Humanities and Social Sciences in Warsaw and the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University.

According to ‘Rzeczpospolita’, the ranking took into account a comprehensive evaluation of academic units for the years 2017-2021, which had a significant impact on the results in this year’s ranking. Some universities did not carry out an evaluation in the discipline of legal sciences, which means that they did not receive points in the scientific category as well as habilitation and doctoral qualifications.

According to the law, the right to confer doctoral and postdoctoral degrees in the discipline of legal sciences is obtained by a university that has received the scientific category A+, A and B+.
