In the latest Nature Index ranking of scientific publications, the University of Wrocław (UWr) was ranked third among Polish universities. Among all European universities on the Nature Index list, UWr is ranked 196th.

In 2022, researchers at the Wrocław university published 51 articles in prestigious journals on the Nature Portfolio list, while the Share index for UWr was 15.75. The largest number of articles, as many as 22, were published by chemists.

The Nature Index is a database that collects information about the affiliations of authors of scientific publications and research collaborations. The index tracks contributions to scientific publications in 82 of the most prestigious scientific journals in the sciences and life sciences, selected by an independent group of researchers. It presents both the absolute number of articles (Count) and an index on the percentage of co-authorship of a publication (Share).
