Professor Piotr Balczewski, head of the Department of Structural and Materials Research at the Institute of Chemistry, Environmental Protection and Biotechnology, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, at University of Humanities and Natural Sciences of Jan Długosz in Częstochowa was awarded the title of Fellow ChemPubSoc Europe.

ChemPubSoc Europe is an organization associating and financially supporting 16 European chemical societies gathering a total of about 70 thousand members. The societies publish 14 high-quality magazines in their countries. The organization also has its own publishing house – ChemViews Magazine.

The award is the highest prize awarded every two years by ChemPubSoc Europe. They are received by the scientists who contribute to increasing the scientific level and the recognition of publications in chemistry in Europe and in the world. Nominations were announced at the 7th EuChemSoc Congress in Liverpool.
