Dr Izabela Krasiejko, Professor at the Jan Długosz University of Humanities and Life Sciences in Częstochowa, a research and teaching fellow at the university’s Faculty of Social Sciences, received the Primus in Agendo Badge of Honour for her work on family policy.
The badge is awarded by the Minister of Family and Social Policy to individuals, institutions or organisations in recognition of innovative, valuable, reliable and committed work on behalf of individuals, families, communities or social policy.
The laureate conducts research and activities concerning the development of the family support system, with particular emphasis on family assistantship. She has developed a model for the work of the family assistant profession, which gives its work a supportive and preventive dimension and thus differentiates its conduct from the activities of other helping and intervention professions. She is the author of nine books and more than a hundred articles, mainly on social-educational and therapeutic work with the family.
