Dr Paweł Gawłowski from the Medical University of Wrocław was among the very finalists of the Science Populariser competition, organised by the Polish Press Agency’s Science in Poland service. The competition jury recognised him in the Scientist category.

Dr Gawłowski is a true populariser with a passion. For 24 years, he has been continuously engaged in conveying to others issues related to first aid and medical rescue, as well as medical and health sciences. His audience includes all age groups – starting with pre-school children and ending with senior citizens.

The purpose of the Populariser of Science competition is to recognise individuals, teams of people and institutional entities that popularise science among Poles, help others better understand the phenomena taking place around people, present the latest scientific research results, share their knowledge and passion for science.
