Dr Barbara Jundo-Kaliszewska from the Department of Political Theory and Political Thought at the Faculty of International and Political Studies at the University of Łódź (UŁ) has been awarded a research fellowship in the Jan Karski War Losses Institute competition for the period from 1 October this year to 30 September 2024.

“The aim of the project of the researcher from the University of Lodz is to define the main areas of war losses of the territories of the former Vilnius and Novogrudok provinces during World War II and to identify Lithuanian historical discourses on this topic”, reports the Centre for Communication and Public Relations of the University of Lodz.

The final effect of the project will be the publication of an article in English in a renowned foreign scientific journal and a series of related publications disseminating the results of the conducted research. Based on the acquired materials, a series of podcasts “On the frontier” will be prepared and published on the “International Observer” portal.
