Dr Aleksandra Kolano-Burian, researcher of the Łukasiewicz – Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals, became the Laureate of the Polish Smart Development Award 2021 in the category: Innovative technologies and future research.
She was awarded for the project “Modern technologies for the production of functional magnetic materials for electro-mobile and medical applications”, developing and introducing new technologies for the production of low-loss 3D magnetic components for electro-mobile and medical applications to the market.
New technologies will concern the production of magnetic materials in the form of cores for inductors and transformers, nanocrystalline stators and printed magnetic materials with shape memory. The new products will be low-loss transformers and inductors as well as Permanent Magnet Brushless Direct Current motors with a nanocrystalline stator.
