Researcher of the Krakow University of Technology joins group of 50 best polymer chemistry scientists

13.01.2020

Dr Eng. Joanna Ortyl from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology of the Krakow University of Technology (WIiTCh PK) joined the group of the fifty world researchers dealing with polymer chemistry, whose achievements were presented by “Polymer Chemistry” – a prestigious scientific journal published by the Royal Society of Chemistry.

The information about the pioneers of polymer chemistry is presented in the special supplement to “Polymer Chemistry” – “Emerging Investigators 2020”. The Scientific Council of the industry journal selected the fifty innovators in this field who are in the early stages of an independent scientific career.

Dr Eng. Joanna Ortyl is a graduate of chemical technology (specialty: plastic technology). She wrote her PhD thesis at Krakow University of Technology in 2012 (“Synthesis of new cationic polymerization photoinitiators and FPT monitoring”) and took scientific internships at the West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin and Münster University of Applied Sciences in Germany. Currently, she is working at the Department of Biotechnology and Physical Chemistry WIiTCh PK.
