Paulina Łopatniuk from the Department of Physiology of the Gdańsk Medical University has become one of the winners of the Science Populariser competition organized by the Polish Press Agency and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

The Gdańsk researcher runs a scientific blog “Patologists”. She discusses various medical issues, especially in the field of pathology, oncology, reproductive biology, infectious and parasitic diseases, and preventive vaccinations, in accessible way.

The 14th “Science Promoter” competition ended on January 7 at the Copernicus Science Center in Warsaw. The ceremony was attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Science and Higher Education Jarosław Gowin and Vice President of the Polish Press Agency Łukasz Świerżewski.
The competition has been organized since 2005.
