Researchers from the Koszalin University of Technology are carrying out a project aimed at comprehensively examining the problems of rural areas. This is the first scientific project co-implemented by the Koszalin university and financed by the EU Horizon Europe programme. It will create a rural compass – a recommended direction for development that takes into account factors affecting rural communities and their functional characteristics.
The project ‘Giving Rural Actors Novel data and re-Useable tools to Lead public Action in Rural areas’, (GRANULAR) will involve multi-stakeholder and interdisciplinary research to generate knowledge about the diversity of rural areas.
Workshops conducted as part of the project with researchers, representatives of farmers’ organisations, local government officials, NGO representatives and the local community will generate new primary data sets.
