Researchers from the Institute of Management at the Technical University of Łódź (PŁ) have developed an innovative dataset useful for business analysis.

At the Faculty of Organisation and Management at PŁ, Dr Karol Marek Klimczak and Jan Makary Fryczak, have developed the Polish Corpus of Financial Communication.  This is the result of their work on analysing texts published by listed companies. PŁ emphasises that the dataset was created thanks to funding from the National Science Centre’s OPUS programme.

The corpus contains text data from the annual reports of all Polish listed companies from the 2006-2020 ESPI period. The aim is to provide baseline data for research on financial communication and industry vocabulary using computer techniques.  The corpus is used to analyse financial language at the level of the entire population, so the data are not assigned to individual companies, reads the description to the repository.
