A prototype of an electrically powered agricultural tractor is the latest project implemented by the University of Life Sciences (UP) in Lublin. The machine is to be used to analyse all aspects for and against electric propulsion. It will also be used for energy research under conditions closely related to field cultivation.

The prototype was realised as part of a project financed by the Ministry of Education and Science, entitled ‘Construction of an Energy Research Station. ‘Construction of a stand for testing the energy consumption of the electric drive of an agricultural tractor’. It will make it possible to test the electricity consumption required to drive an agricultural tractor equipped with a fully electric BEV drive system.

The vehicle was made by the ODIUT Automex Sp. z o.o. company from Gdańsk. The entire project is being carried out by Krzysztof Ploza, PhD, from the Department of Power and Transport Vehicles at the Faculty of Production Engineering, Lublin University of Technology.
