Researchers at the Medical University of Wrocław are starting extensive research on the health status of the inhabitants of Wrocław. They are planing to examine 2,500 people. The research is co-financed by the City of Wrocław.
The study will concern a child and one of the parents, its participants were chosen randomly. Data from the PESEL database were provided to researchers by the Ministry of Digitization. Each participant will be laboratory tested (i.e. blood test, glucose, glycosylated hemoglobin, creatinine level, lipidogram: total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, triglycerides, electrolyte level: sodium and potassium and thyrotropic hormone TSH).
Additionally, ECG tests, spirometry, blood pressure measurement, anthropometric tests will be performed, including body mass composition analysis, ENT and audiometric tests. Self-research would cost the family about one thousand PLN.
