Beniamin Stecuła from the Faculty of Applied Mathematics at the Silesian University of Technology took 2nd place in the Polish Championship in Mathematical and Logic Games and in August he will represent Poland in the International Championship in Switzerland.
The final of the Polish Championship in Mathematical and Logic Games took place after a three-year break caused by a pandemic. The competition included a total of 6 hours of struggle with 36 mathematical and logical tasks of increasing difficulty. First three places allowed an employee of the Gliwice university to participate in the world championships in Switzerland.
The World Championship in Math and Logic Games is organized by the Swiss organization Federation Suisse Des Jeux Mathematiques and will take place at the end of August in Lausanne. In the final, apart from Poland, there will also be representatives of France, Switzerland, Canada, Tunisia, Algeria, Spain and Italy.
