Scientists from the University of Silesia awarded at the ‘Inova Croatia 2019’ fair

The invention of scientists from the Faculty of exact and technical sciences of the University of Silesia was awarded during the 44th International Invention Fair “Inova Croatia 2019”.

The winning solution is a method of broadcast transmission for Bluetooth Low Energy transmitters. It has been used in a breathing monitor developed by Silesian scientists. It is a multifunctional device that allows people to control various parameters related to the respiratory system and locomotor activity of a person – such as strength or frequency of breathing, as well as pulse and body position change. The invention consists of several patent applications and industrial designs of national and European scope.

During the fair, the international jury awarded the Silesian invention with a gold medal, while the World Invention Intellectual Property Associations in Taiwan (WIIPA) awarded the work of scientists by granting them a special prize.
