17.06.2021

Scientists of the Gdańsk University of Technology, together with the Foundation for the Support of Child Development are creating educational applications. Their goal is to support the therapy of children with autism spectrum disorders based on the principles of applied behavioral analysis, otherwise known as behavioral therapy.

The project developed the following applications: Friendly Plan and Friendly Plan Manager, which enable therapists and teachers to create individual educational paths; Friendly Lines and Friendly Letters – an educational game supporting the development of graphomotor skills; Friendly Words and Friendly Words Manager – a game supporting the development of speech understanding and Friendly Emotions – an application developing the emotional intelligence of a child.

Children with autism spectrum disorders struggle with many deficits that also affect their learning abilities. Their education should be individually tailored to the abilities of each student.
