25.01.2021

The aim of the project is to develop an energScientists of the Łukasiewicz – Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals together with specialists of HEMARPOL TRADE will develop an innovative technology for recycling hard-to-recycle, unprocessed aluminum waste in Poland through plastic consolidation.y-efficient and economically effective recycling process of post-amortization aluminum waste (not processed so far in Poland) by means of segregation, shredding and plastic consolidation carried out in the process of continuous extrusion on a wheel. The proposed technology is an alternative to the energy-consuming metallurgical process used in the world.

The main source of aluminum waste in the recycling process will be post-amortization aluminum used e.g. in the coolers, shutters, roller blinds, as well as heterogeneous aluminum cables and coated cables.
