Professor Andrzej Zybała and Dr Dorota Konopka from the Department of Public Policy at the Warsaw School of Economics (SGH) will soon start the implementation of an international project financed from a grant awarded at the beginning of January this year by the European Commission. The consortium consists of organizations from 7 countries.

The project is called “Expanding and Improving Workplace Democracy as a Prerequisite for Humanizing Labor and the Work Environment – DIRECT II”. It concerns the issues of industrial relations (management and participation in work organization). This is the second project of this type from the European Commission, implemented by the current research consortium. It implemented its first project in 2016-2017.

The project partners include trade union and employer organizations, research and analytical organizations, and two universities: SGH and Royal Holloway, University of London (RHUL).

Qualitative research, series of seminars and workshops are also planned under the project, and the final product will be a national report and a European comparative report.
