Three scientists from the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław won research scholarships from the Foundation for Polish Science. The Foundation provides annual scholarships to outstanding young scientists at the beginning of their scientific careers with proven achievements.
The winner of the scholarship is Karolina Tkacz – laureate of, among others Diamond Grant and TopMinds. The young researcher is working on projects in cooperation with scientists from the The Food & Feed research group at the Linking Landscape, Environment, Agriculture and Food Center.
Kamil Smolak from the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformatics is also carrying out a doctoral thesis at the University of Life Sciences in Wrocław. He was awarded in the START Program for research on maximizing the usefulness of information on human mobility obtained from mobile devices.
Dr Iga Solecka from the Institute of Spatial Management is a winner of many grants, she is currently researching the importance of the place and environmental management in the context of cross-border regions.
