15 researchers from 9 countries will start research projects at institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN). They are the winners of the second PASIFIC PAN scholarship competition who will join 35 scientists already conducting research in Poland.
The international jury of the competition selected 15 researchers who will come to Poland to carry out their research projects by November 1, 2022. The interest in the competition was very high. Nearly 13 people applied for one place.
According to the Polish Academy of Sciences, the second PASIFIC competition will fund 6 projects from a Physical Sciences and Engineering panel, 5 in Social Sciences and Humanities and 4 in Life Sciences. The number of grants awarded in each panel depended on the number of applications submitted in a given science.
There were 8 men and 7 women among the laureates. They will implement scholarships at 9 institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences. As many as 5 grants will be conducted at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and 3 at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
